Major Dahl in Tomato Sauce
Tasty and meat free, this recipe is quick and very simple.

Ingredients |
4 Tablespoons Vegetable Oil |
5 Garlic Cloves, finely chopped |
2 Teaspoon Curry Powder |
2 Teaspoon Ground Cumin |
250 Gram Tomato Suce |
230 Gram Red Lentils, washed |
2 Tablespoons Lemon Juice |
2 Teaspoon Salt |
Method |
Heat the oil in a pot. |
Add garlic and fry until golden brown. |
Add curry powder, cumin and tomato sauce. |
Bring to boil and simmer for about 5 minutes. |
Add lentils and 2½ cups of warm water. |
Cover and simmer for about 25 minutes until lentils are cooked. |
Add salt and lemon juice to taste and server. |
