Ingredients |
4 tbsp Vegetable Oil |
5 Garlic Cloves, finely chopped |
2 tsp Curry Powder |
2 tsp Ground Cumin |
250 g Tomato Sauce |
230 g Red Lentils, rinsed and drained |
2 tbsp Lemon Juice |
2 tsp Salt |
Method |
Heat the oil in a pot. |
Add garlic and fry until golden brown. |
Add curry powder, cumin and tomato sauce. |
Bring to boil and simmer for about 5 minutes. |
Add lentils and 2½ cups of warm water. |
Cover and simmer for about 25 minutes until lentils are cooked. |
Add salt and lemon juice to taste and serve. |
