Easy to make but very nice, a SpiceTheWorld special

Ingredients |
2 Tablespoons Vegetable Oil |
1 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds |
5 Cloves |
2 Bayleaf |
1 Cinnamon Stick |
5 Cardamoms |
1 Onion, sliced |
500 Gram Basmati Rice, washed |
1 Litre Water |
Salt, to taste |
Method |
Heat the oil in a pan. |
Now add the cumin seeds cloves Bayleaf cinnamon and green cardamom. |
When they crackle add the sliced onion and sauté until the onion is a little coloured. |
Add rice and sauté for two minutes. |
Now add the water and salt. |
Cook with a tight lid on top for 20-25 minutes on low heat undisturbed. |
