Ingredients |
2 tbsp Vegetable Oil |
1 tsp Cumin Seeds |
5 Cloves |
2 Bay Leaves |
1 Cinnamon Stick |
5 Cardamom |
1 Onion, sliced |
500 g Basmati Rice, washed |
1 lt Water |
Salt, to taste |

Method |
Heat the oil in a pan. |
Now add the cumin seeds, cloves, bay leaf, cinnamon, and green cardamom. |
When they crackle add the sliced onion and sauté until the onion is a little coloured. |
Add rice and sauté for two minutes. |
Now add the water and salt. |
Cook with a tight lid on top for 20-25 minutes on low heat undisturbed. |
